At the beginning of 2021, I found myself at a crossroads.
The COVID-19 pandemic had disrupted my professional life, canceling most of my workshops and travel plans.
As I navigated these challenges, I stumbled upon the world of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs).
Initially curious and somewhat skeptical, I decided to dive into this emerging space, not realizing how profoundly it would impact my artistic journey.

NFTs are unique digital assets stored on the blockchain, a technology that ensures the authenticity and ownership of each piece. For an artist, this means every digital creation can be verified as an original. This concept fascinated me and opened up new avenues for sharing and monetizing my work.

Through daily interactions with artists from various genres—not just photographers, but also digital and traditional artists—the NFT space transformed my perspective. I realized that my constant drive to create and my relentless pursuit of realizing my visions define what it means to be an artist. This journey helped me embrace the title of “artist”

The NFT community welcomed me with open arms, and the blockchain technology provided a platform to showcase my work to a global audience. The innovative nature of NFTs inspired me to push my creative boundaries and explore new artistic horizons. This journey has been nothing short of transformative, allowing me to blend my love for photography with the cutting-edge world of digital art.

Moonlight Serenade

Description

In the mystical embrace of Matera, where enchantment reigns, I capture a poignant moment—a man walking under a full moon at dusk. This village is a masterpiece of unique architecture, evoking a profound connection to the past as you stroll along ancient streets. Matera may lack towering ancient buildings like Rome or Venice, but it compensates with an extraordinary artistry of its own.

The way it was built is unlike anything I’ve witnessed before, a breathtaking display of craftsmanship that transcends time. Walking these historical streets feels like a journey through ages past, as if the echoes of bygone eras guide your steps.

Beyond the man’s solitary walk under the moonlit sky lies a world of hidden tales. Uncover the layers of time embedded within, and you’ll hear the whispers of forgotten memories, the stories of those who once roamed these very paths.

Stairway to Heaven

Description

As a lifelong Zurich resident, I thought I had explored every nook of this vibrant city. But a recent, unexpected discovery - a breathtaking church, hidden in plain sight - challenged that notion. My vision for capturing its essence was clear: I just needed the city’s first snowfall. Luckily, it arrived soon, draping Zurich in a captivating winter blanket.

This photograph aims to convey the magic I felt upon discovering this architectural gem. Despite its beauty, it remains less celebrated than other Zurich landmarks, a thought-provoking reminder of the overlooked wonders in familiar places. Through this image, I invite viewers to embrace the hidden splendors that might just be waiting around the corner in their own cities.

Ghost Town

0.19 eth

Description

In this Streetscape, the absence of humans becomes a poignant storyteller. An abandoned village, surrendered to nature’s embrace, stands frozen in time. A place once bustling with life, now echoes with a haunting silence—a testament to the memories that once filled these streets.

As you wander along the main street, passing by deserted stores and restaurants, nature has reclaimed its territory. The resilient growth of plants envelops the town, adorning rooftops with blooming flowers, as if breathing life back into the forgotten spaces.

In the absence of human presence, the village’s history speaks louder than ever. Behind each weathered wall lie countless tales waiting to be unraveled. The untold stories echo in the breeze, like whispers from the past, leaving you with a profound sense of wonder.

The abandoned village becomes a canvas for imagination—a place where memories intertwine with nature’s revival. As you stand amidst the remnants of time, you can’t help but wonder about the lives lived here, the joys, and the sorrows, the dreams woven within these old walls.

Quiet Serenade

Description

In the heart of Venice, where the past echoes in every cobblestone, I capture a fleeting moment—an exquisite living Time Capsule that beckons us to journey through ancient beauty. It opens a window to a world where the noise of the present fades, and the stories etched within the architecture come to the forefront. The gondola, a symbol of romance and nostalgia, emerges as a tranquil protagonist in this symphony of simplicity.

I aim to transport viewers to a realm where past and present coalesce in a harmonious dance.

As you gaze upon this scene, I hope you sense the enchantment that still permeates Venice—a testament to its enduring allure and the artistry that flows through its veins. Embrace the stories that reside within these ancient walls, and let them awaken your imagination to a city that holds both history’s secrets and the promise of countless new tales yet to be told.

I am part Swiss and part Italian, and both countries have amazing mountain areas. But if I would have to decide which I like more, it would clearly be the Dolomites area.
The Dolomites are full of places that look like out of a fairytale.
I visited this spot countless times within the past years. These old roots in the foreground together with the sharp peaks in the background are what I call a perfect composition, made by Mother Nature.
And even if all pictures have almost the same setup they all look different. That's what I love in landscape photography. It is always Mother Nature herself who decides how our picture looks. Sometimes we capture the brightest colors and sometimes a dark cloudy mood.
Both could have their own beauty and its just up to us what we make out of it.
After all those visits there are two pictures which are standing out.
This is the most mystic mood I have ever captured there.

The thing I like the most in photography is shooting seascapes. And when I say seascapes I don’t talk about just standing at the beach and taking a photo.
I always go „all in“ .
I visited this place many times already but I was never able to get a position so close to these rocks.
But this time I had a plan.
I planned to get there with really low tides, because otherwise it is not possible to reach this position.
But even with low tides it was quite dangerous because I had to climb over two rocks in the water and place my cam directly on top of a space where the waves kept coming in.
I always had one eye on the waves, because just one big wave would have been enough to send me and my cam swimming.
But I guess it was all worth it.
I finally took the shot I wanted for many years.

Look into my Eyes

0.15 eth

Description

I took this picture on a Spain roadtrip this summer together with my girl and our doggy.

I love to shoot seascapes and I love iconic rocks.
So whenever this comes together it is exactly what I’m searching for.
The other thing which always is really important to me, is the composition. Thats why I always try to align every element in the frame as perfect as possible.
With seascapes it’s often not easy because you have to jump from one rock to another while composing the image.
You always need to have one eye on the waves to be secure.
Most of the time I am completely wet at the end. Also while I was shooting this. The perfect position to have the small rock in the left hole of the main rock, perfectly aligned, was unfortunately on a stone which was not high enough to not get caught by the waves.
But thats part of the game. And I love it.
If we don’t go to the maximum, we will definitely not get the best results.

This is one of 6 works from my „The Hills“ collection.
It is an homage to all the amazing moments which I had in this beautiful area in Switzerland during the past years.
I have visited this place for the first time a couple of years ago I fell in love immediately.
Back then almost nobody knew of this place.
The next winter, which came I went back and took my first snow pictures.
I posted it on Facebook and Instagram. And with taking that step everything had changed.
My picture went viral after a repost from a Instagram page with several million followers.
From one day to another the whole world wanted, to photograph this place.
Since August 2021 it is no longer possible to take pictures of this amazing place. The hills are all on private property, and the landlord (which became my friend) had to close it for public because of problems with his neighbors.
This is my favorite winter shot. Taken as a Timeblending.

In the quiet of the morning, I stood witness to a mesmerizing sight. The sea was alive with a wild energy, its waves crashing with a fierce determination. But what struck me most was the way the morning sun painted everything in a warm, golden light. It was as if the world had found a moment of perfect harmony, where the stormy sea and the gentle light converged. Seascapes have always held a special place in my heart because they capture the raw power of nature, especially in moments like these. The contrast between the untamed sea and the paradise-like radiance fills me with a sense of awe and wonder that's hard to put into words

This tree is part of the „Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest“. They are some of the oldest trees on earth and are around 4,800 years old.

The crazy thing about them is.
They are on around 11’000 feet above sea level (3400m).
I never saw trees on this altitude before, and was really surprised about this on my first visit.

A friend took me to this place, without telling me about the altitude.
Guess you can imagine how I felt when we started to hike, and my heart pumped crazy because of this.
I said to him: „man, something is wrong with me“. He just responds. No man. We are on 11’000 feet.
I barely couldn’t believe it.
But yes. It is true.

I took this shot on my second visit 4 years ago. And it is still one of my most favorites.

Can you feel the majestic power of this ancient tree in front of the clear night sky?

I’ve visited Iceland around 15 times in the past 7 years.
Sometimes alone and sometimes together with clients on my workshops.
And on every visit I also went to this magical place.
I never saw something like this somewhere else on this Planet. It is one of those landscapes which made Iceland so unique.

I saw this place on sunrise, on sunset, with northern lights or just gray, but never a mood like in this picture.

This day was something really special. The Sunset was quite ok. Not the most colorful one, but also not bad.
But then happened the magic.
Right after sunset we realized that the moon is rising and this, in combination with the last colors from the blue hour, created this magic atmosphere.

It was one of these moments you never ever forget in your entire life.
One of the most unique places on earth, covered in this soft moonlight and in the background the colors from the blue hour.
Nothing can beat this feeling.

Description

The Dolomites are full of man made caves from WW1. In almost every mountain are some of these relicts from war.
I can’t imagine how many soldiers suffered in these places, and it’s still there. The feeling to discover these places is really strange.
In this picture I tried to turn this negative energy into hope, I tried to overlay all this man made negativity with the beauty of nature.
The mountain I framed from inside this bunker is called „Hexenstein“ (witch stone), it is one of the most iconic peaks in the Dolomites. I tried to find a perfect composition for him since many years.
Now I found it.
But what an ironic fact that I found the perfect composition from inside such a place.
Guess his name is not only a name. He enchanted such a tragic place into a beautiful dreamy Landscape picture, which shows nature in his incredible beauty. The collector of this 1/1 NFT will receive a high-quality Fine-Art print

Lago di Saoseo is one of the most beautiful places in Switzerland.
I have been there at least 30 times at this magical spot in the past 10 years.

But this piece is really special to me. I took it many years ago on one of my first visits during autumn season. The color of the autumnal larch trees in combination with the soft glowing light of the fading sun, created a mood which just leads to dream.

I have never again captured this kind of light at this place.

The high mountains are in front of the spot where the sun sets and usually there are often clouds which are blocking the light. Thats why light like this is really rare.

My goal as a landscape photographer is always to capture nature in its overwhelming beauty to create an artwork which transports deep feelings to the viewer. And the light is always the key.
This picture is one of those moments in which everything comes together. One of those moments why I do this. One moment in a million.
